Your Most Inticipated Title of 2008

2008 is looking like an incredible year when it comes to the big title releases. What are you most looking forward to?

Me, I am looking forward to Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, and LittleBigPlanet.


Metal Gear Solid for me is one of the playstation's must play franchises. Ever since they turned the 2D metal solid games into a 3D stealth/action game on the original Playstation, it has morphed into one of the greatest franchises ever, the story is so complex it makes you actually think and try and figure stuff out on your own and fill gaps on your own. And with Metal Gear Solid 4 being the last game, every story arc and every tidbit of story we aren't sure on will be revealed and summed up.

I've always enjoyed the Grand Theft Auto games since it turned into a 3D game ( see a pattern here lol) with GTA 3 on ps2. It was the beginning of the sandbox, do anything anywhere style of gameplay, and to this day, it still does it better than any game that has the same type of gameplay. All of the GTA's on ps2, i have played each of them easily past the 100 hour mark, and some more than the others.

LittleBigPlanet has so much potential it's incredible. At first glance you might think it's a kid game with the cute characters and the levels, but it's so far away from that. You create your own levels with easy to use pop-up menu's with so many options, I can't even really explain how much variety there is, as there is just so much. Once you create a level, you can take that level and put it up online in the game and other people play it and rate it, and you can do the same other people's created levels. And if you're not in the mood to create your own level, the game will come with 50+ already built levels that you can go through and going through them, you unlock even more things to create with. I could keep talk about LittleBigPlanet but i've already wrote plenty lol.


So what PS3 games are you looking forward to the most in 2008?

well im hopin that spore makes it to ps3 it looks revolutionary


if not that then MGS4 just for the old man version of snake

Lol, Spore isn't coming to PS3, it's not coming to any console. You really don't know much do you?

no im sayin if it did that would be my most anticipated title

I don't know, It probably would.

that would be awesome if Spore went to the PS3. You never know, i wasn't expecting FLOW to make it there either but they did a great job with that.

My most anticipated title of 2008 is Silent Hill 5, but i've been hearing that it may be delayed now until 2009 or even 2010. So i'm a little sad over that. White Knight and Afrika are other games i've been waiting to be released, hopefully it will happen this year but i haven't heard anything new on them yet.

It's hardly fair to compare Spore to Flow.

Since Spore is so complex and Flow is so simple.

true, but spore will be huge, and hopefully not be one of those missed gems of gaming

It won't be, it's been hyped to the moon.

i really liked FLOW. and it can get complicated. granted it's not as complicated as Spore is, i just compared it as a fun PC game going over to console and having bits changed.

maybe, lets hope spore turns out great though

if spore is coming out on the DS im sure it at least has a shot at coming out on the PS3

though it probably won't be 08 Resident Evil 5 is my most anticipated game currently followed by Resistance Fall of Man 2. Though for upcoming games i can't wait for Lost in a couple weeks.

My most anticipated release of the year is between GTA4 and MGS4.....As it looks doubtful that MGS4 will come to the 360, well not right away anyway, and that the port to the xbox of the other titles has been poor, i will have to get myself a PS3....Damn it...more sony stuff in my house...lol

Rainbow Six 2 is out in 3 weeks and has great online play.

Devil May Cry 4 is out and is a classic.

UT3 i have yet to purchase but it is getting good reviews.

Haze should be a massive hit.

But overall for the PS3 the most anticipated thing is Home and In game XMB
